Nathan Kight - Criminal Defense Attorney Nathan Kight brings to the table the real world experience, academic distinction, and dedicated ferocity needed by anyone accused of a crime.

A product of Baylor Law School’s esteemed Practice Court program, Mr. Kight distinguished himself while still a law student. As a law student he served as research assistant to his Professor of Evidence Law, Gerald Powell. Mr. Kight was also an active member of the Baylor Law Review. After graduation, Mr. Kight spent a year as a judicial clerk for Justice Jim Moseley of the prestigious Dallas Court of Appeals. Finishing his clerkship with the highest of recommendations, Mr. Kight then served as Assistant District Attorney for Dallas County, handling numerous felony appeals and frequently arguing before the Dallas Court of Appeals.

In the following years, Mr. Kight cut his teeth as a defense attorney in the trial courts of Frank Crowley courthouse, handling every conceivable type of case from murder to embezzlement. An extraordinary amount of his time was devoted to defending men against charges of family violence. As a result of his experience and training, Mr. Kight is at home in the fierce and emotional world that is family violence litigation.

In 2008, Mr. Kight served as an adjunct professor at his undergraduate alma mater, Southwestern Adventist University, teaching criminal law.

Mr. Kight handles only criminal defense and frequently represents litigants in appeals and writs in both federal and state court. He is often hired to research and write appeals and writs for other attorneys. He is admitted to practice in all state courts in Texas, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Kight is a member of the DBA, TCDLA, DCDLA, and a lifetime member of the Baylor Law School Alumni Association.
